We provide detoxification and methadone maintenance dosing and counseling to opiate dependent clients in conjunction with medical and psychiatric services. The target population is low-income medically/psychiatrically compromised opiate dependent individuals who reside in San Francisco, primarily in the South of Market, Mission, Castro, and Tenderloin areas.
The position is essential in providing the psychosocial services and interventions that are mandatory for the provision of comprehensive substance abuse treatment services.
Required Qualifications:
BA/BS degree and one year of related experience, or equivalent combination of experience/training including prevocational, job development services, substance abuse counseling, or employment counseling and be certified by the state of California as a Drug and Alcohol (AOD) Counselor
License/Certification:
California state registration or certification as an Alcohol/Drug Counselor (must have CAADE, CADTP, or CCAPP Certificate)
